Five Israeli travelers are trapped in severe tropical storms and widespread flooding in Vietnam during the week, Walla learned on Wednesday.

One Israeli couple stayed in a hostel, where the first floor was flooded, and are now on the building's second floor with limited access to food and water, Walla reported.

Three other travelers are stranded on a bus after roads in the area were blocked.

Contact with rescue services

MAGNUS Search & Rescue teams are in direct contact with the travelers via phones and satellite devices, as well as with their families in Israel, the Israeli-based rescue service told Walla.

Evacuations are being enforced in the Hanoi area.

Dozens of people have been killed, hundreds wounded, and many others are missing in the storms and flooding in the country, according to local reports.

Approximately 150,000 homes have been flooded.

The flooding follows reports last month where eight Israeli tourists were wounded in a car accident in the Quang Ninh province. The tourists' conditions varied from light to moderate.
