Boaz Levy, president and CEO of Israel Aerospace Industries, stands as one of the most influential figures in the global defense and aerospace sectors. Appointed CEO in 2020, Levy brought over three decades of expertise in missile systems and aerospace engineering to the helm of Israel’s largest defense company.

Levy began his career in the Israel Air Force as a guided weapons expert before joining IAI in 1989. He played a pivotal role in developing the Arrow antiballistic missile system, which played a significant role throughout Israel’s wars since Oct. 7, 2023, including the 12-day war with Iran, intercepting hundreds of ballistic missiles.

As CEO, Levy places an emphasis on the hard work of IAI’s employees, especially since October 7, telling The Jerusalem Post in a recent interview that “we have an obligation to the State of Israel and all of our foreign and Israeli customers. We have three rotations to keep things running all day, seven days a week.”

Groundbreaking achievements for IAI

His leadership has been marked by groundbreaking achievements. Under Levy’s stewardship, IAI has reached record profitability, with its order backlog surpassing NIS 25 billion for the year 2024. His strategic vision has expanded IAI’s footprint in both defense and civilian markets, including significant growth in the US aerospace sector.

Levy holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical and space engineering and a master’s degree in systems engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and has earned numerous accolades, including the Israel Defense Prize.
