While the first conviction was secured on Tuesday night in relation to a spate of arson attacks against Jewish, Israeli, or Iranian dissident-affiliated sites, the 17-year-old became the latest involved in the incidents to be released on bail.

Since the March 23 Golders Green arson against four Hatzola ambulances, at least eight individuals have been released back into the community, according to police press statements. The first of these individuals was a 19-year-old man arrested on April 4. Despite being arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, he was bailed until May. He was one of five who were arrested for the crime, with four others charged.

The 47-year-old woman and 46-year-old man arrested last Wednesday, the same day as they attempted to set alight the Finchley Reform Synagogue, were also put on bail until July. They were also suspected of arson and endangering life.

The 17-year-old Brent boy was arrested Sunday and charged Saturday with arson not endangering life, and was kept in custody until his court date on Tuesday. After he pleaded guilty on Tuesday, he was released on bail until his next hearing in June. The judge reportedly imposed "a number of strict bail conditions, which will be closely monitored for adherence ahead of his next appearance at court."
