Categorized by ideological motivation, 64.6% were Far-Left (84 incidents), 14.6% Islamist (19 incidents), 3.8% Far-Right (5 incidents), and 16.9% Unattributable (22 incidents).

Broken down by type, 79.2% were Anti-Israel/Anti-Zionism (103 incidents), 6.9% Classical Antisemitism (9 Incidents), 6.9% Islamist (9 incidents), 2.3% Holocaust Minimization/Denial (3 incidents), and 3.8% Unattributable (5 incidents).

Summary of Events Over Last Week:

An Alabama man was detained on Monday over an alleged plot to target multiple synagogues across the southern United States. A police search of the suspect’s home uncovered weapons, ammunition, and body armor believed to be intended for use in the planned attacks.

The arrest occurred on the seventh anniversary of the Tree of Life synagogue massacre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the deadliest antisemitic attack in U.S. history, underscoring the persistent extremist threats facing the Jewish American community.

Israeli Educator Assaulted in Manhattan

Other incidents documented by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM this week included:

  • United States: A 58-year-old Israeli educator was attacked outside a Manhattan kosher restaurant by an assailant who demanded, "Tell me what your religion is."
  • United States: Muslim Student Association (MSA) members at two Northern Virginia high schools filmed videos mimicking violent kidnappings to promote their club.
  • Austria: A 12-year-old Jewish boy was physically and verbally assaulted by a peer while walking home from school in Vienna.

Alyza Lewin Joins CAM Team

CAM announced the hiring of renowned civil rights attorney and antisemitism expert Alyza Lewin as President of U.S. Affairs. In this newly-established role, Lewin will lead CAM’s American operations and oversee strategic engagement, programming, coordination, and collaboration with government, educational, and civic institutions nationwide.

US Leadership Delegations Visit Israel

CAM-hosted delegations of U.S. state attorneys general, state legislators, and New York State, City, and Port Authority police leaders toured Israel this week. CAM also helped organize the state trade mission led by Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen.
