ECOVACS ROBOTICS announced the launch of full Hebrew voice control for its cleaning robots in Israel. The new feature is available via a software update and allows users to operate the robots using voice commands, without using the app or physical buttons.

Voice control is performed through YIKO, the company’s voice assistant. According to the company, the system allows the robot to be operated using natural, free speech. Supported commands include instructions such as "Start cleaning," "Clean the entire house," "Return to the docking station," or checking the battery status. ECOVACS notes that the system can recognize not only individual words but also different phrasings and changing contexts, allowing for continuous voice interaction as part of the home routine, even when hands are not free.

YIKO is based on natural language understanding technology, which enables the robot to recognize the user’s intent and respond in real time. Voice control includes actions such as vacuuming, mopping, automatic cleaning, and returning to the charging station, depending on the robot model and its capabilities.

The update comes as software and does not require purchasing a new device. The company notes that it is already available in Israel for a range of existing models, so users who purchased a supported robot will be able to activate the feature after the update. Supported models are: X11 OMNI CYCLONE, T30 PRO OMNI, T50 PRO OMNI, X8 PRO OMNI, X11 PRO OMNI, and X5 PRO OMNI.

At the same time, Hebrew voice control will also be integrated into new models expected to arrive in Israel during the first half of 2026, and it will be a built-in part of the product from launch.
