When Condé Nast Traveler, one of the world’s leading travel magazines, publishes its list of the best hotels in the Middle East, most of the names featured are from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar. But this year, one Israeli hotel made it onto the list.

The David Kempinski Tel Aviv has been included among the top 20 hotels in the Middle East in Condé Nast Traveler’s coveted Readers’ Choice Awards. The hotel ranked 15th in the region with a score of 95.65.

As expected, most of the hotels on the list come from the United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi). In first place is the Al Bustan Palace Ritz-Carlton in Oman, followed by the Mandarin Oriental and W Doha hotels in Qatar, in second and third place respectively.

The ranking is based on reviews from hundreds of thousands of the magazine’s readers worldwide, who rated the hotels according to criteria such as service, location, design, facilities, food, and overall guest experience. The final score is calculated as an average of the ratings given by real travelers and is considered one of the most reliable and influential benchmarks in the travel industry.

“In a challenging time, this is especially exciting”

Guy Kleiman, General Manager of Kempinski Tel Aviv, said: “This is a great source of pride for the entire hotel team. It reflects the high standards we set for ourselves in every aspect—from design and service to the personal experience each guest receives. In a challenging period for tourism in Israel, this recognition is especially moving and encourages us to continue innovating, maintaining a high bar of excellence, and keeping the guest at the center of everything we do every day.”

According to Condé Nast Traveler’s review: “A luxurious, precise, and service-oriented experience unlike any other in Tel Aviv. The David Kempinski’s meticulous design—down to the smallest details, from the rooms to the Horizon Lounge—makes even seasoned travelers feel they’ve never experienced hospitality quite like this. The views from the rooms are breathtaking, the service is luxurious yet never overbearing, and the food is top-notch.

Located between Frishman and Gordon beaches, the hotel succeeds in blending refined European elegance with Tel Aviv’s relaxed energy. Alongside young couples in designer clothes, guests in Birkenstock sandals are equally welcome. The reviews particularly praised the infinity pool overlooking the sea, the personalized service, and the unforgettable breakfast experience.”
