Two weeks remain until the end of the summer vacation, and many are taking advantage of the last days of summer to go on a trip in Israel or abroad, with last-minute deals enabling spontaneous vacations at a wide range of prices.
Data from the travel company Gulliver indicate an increase in demand for nearby destinations, alongside last-minute options at various price levels. Popular destinations include family vacations in Eilat and northern Israel, city breaks in Europe, as well as short flights to beach destinations around the Mediterranean.
Tamar Gerzon, CEO of Gulliver, notes: “The last two weeks of August are characterized by high activity in the tourism sector, both domestic and international. Many families take advantage of the final days of summer to travel in Israel or abroad, often choosing spontaneous last-minute deals.”
Gerzon adds: “These allow for a quick and easy getaway before returning to routine. Even those who have not yet booked a vacation can still make a last-minute reservation and find a wide range of options.”
