The device combines automated technologies for weekday use and a mechanical solution for Shabbat operation, approved by Badatz Mehadrin and the Institute for Technology and Halacha. On Shabbat and Jewish holidays, it can be operated using a mechanical system. HDS Water's filtration solutions are adapted to the water quality at the customer’s location and include precise filtration at a level of 1 micron. In areas with high limescale levels, the company provides specialized filtration solutions that completely treat the limescale.
The bar includes an advanced touch screen, is energy-efficient, features a safety tap to prevent children from accessing boiling water, a Reboil button for full reboiling, a direct connection to the water system, an automatic refill function, a quiet cooling system, a unique heating surface, stainless steel tanks, high-quality filters for clear and healthy water, an external heating element to prevent contact with the water, and more.
And what did we think of it?
Our tester is a traditional family man from central Israel. Here is his opinion:
“After many years with a water bar from one of Israel’s leading companies in our kitchen, we tried out the Spirit Plus device. Before we get to the halachic solution, let me clarify that this is a beautifully designed water bar with a wide range of advanced features, including a touch screen, energy efficiency, a safety tap to prevent children from accessing boiling water, and a meticulous filtration system. I especially liked the soft lighting that allows water filling even at night and the fact that the water is always boiling — no need to wait to make coffee in the morning. The water flow is slightly weaker than our previous water bar, but it’s still perfectly good.”
As for kashrut, he says: “It’s very convenient for us to have technological options and solutions for weekend use. It saves a lot of dilemmas and unnecessary cold water storage. We fell in love with this device.”
