A first-of-its-kind collaboration between the international retail chain and the beloved toy brand: A premium summer playset for children that includes a checkout counter, shelves, figures, and a shopping cart – just like in real life.
The summer break has just begun, and here comes an original solution that can keep the kids busy for hours – and also save parents quite a few headaches. For the first time, global Carrefour is teaming up with the Playmobil brand in an exclusive collaboration, launching a premium supermarket playset for kids – with a mini shopping experience just like grown-ups have.
The playset, launched in all Carrefour branches in Israel, includes a miniature replica of a real supermarket branch – with a checkout counter, carts, shelves, and figures of customers and employees. The goal: To encourage free play, imagination, and storytelling, exactly what the Playmobil brand has been offering for years.
The exclusive move between the two companies offers a limited edition that is being launched for summer at special prices: A large supermarket set for only NIS 149.90 (instead of NIS 299.90), and complementary department sets – such as vegetables, baked goods, meats, and more – for only NIS 49.90 (instead of NIS 99.90 per set).
According to Carrefour, this is a premium collector's item specially suited for the vacation days at home, intended to encourage children to experience the "shopping experience" from the other side of the shelf – all through independent play, assembly, and creativity.
This move is part of the chain's summer activity line, which aims to connect the world of retail with new consumer experiences. "Children are used to visiting the supermarket with us – now they can operate one themselves," say Carrefour representatives. The sets are available in all branches of the chain in Israel, while supplies last.
