Amid the drama, the tasks, and the tears, there’s one design element that immediately catches the eye upon entering the "Big Brother" house – the impressive dining table, which, beyond being a piece of furniture, has become the beating heart of the filmed house. This is where alliances are formed, secrets are revealed, and the most emotionally charged interactions take place.

The table was created by Studio OKNIN, one of the leading names in design in Israel, responsible for quite a few exceptional projects. The table, which embodies the studio's aesthetic DNA, is made entirely of solid oak in a natural shade and spans an extraordinary six meters in length – a size that reflects OKNIN’s uncompromising approach: Thinking big and designing an entire experience, not just a piece of furniture.

“This table doesn’t just look good on screen – it’s also meticulously designed to withstand the intensity of a filmed house,” explains Hila Hareli, OKNIN’s in-house designer. “It was built through a combination of precise handcrafted carpentry and advanced manufacturing technologies, so every detail is refined and radiates quality.”

The minimalist and clean look of the table, along with its airy legs, creates a sense of openness and invites interaction. Its solid base ensures full stability and allows for comfortable hosting of many participants – exactly what’s required from the central piece of furniture in a house filmed 24/7.

There was no compromise on practicality either: The oak wood underwent a professional finishing process that preserves its natural and warm appearance while protecting it from scratches, stains, and intense daily use. “It’s not just a beautiful table – it’s a piece that has to function day after day under especially demanding conditions,” Hareli emphasizes.

And what truly makes the table unique: Like every OKNIN piece, it is custom-made to the client’s needs. It can be ordered in different dimensions, heights, and shades, so it fits perfectly into any space – whether a private home, public space, or commercial area.

The guiding principle in the studio’s work, it seems, isn’t just aesthetics – but a deep fusion between material and emotion. “This table is a stage – not just for food, but for intimate and grand moments alike,” Hareli concludes.
