Google announced a new AI system called Personal Intelligence that will deliver personalized search results based on the content of emails and images in the Google Photos gallery, the company announced on Thursday in its official blog.

“With Personal Intelligence, recommendations don’t just match your interests, they fit seamlessly into your life. You don’t have to constantly explain your preferences or existing plans; it selects recommendations just for you, right from the start,” wrote Robby Stein, VP of Product at Google Search, in the blog entry.

According to the release, the function will be available only to American Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.

The new core function enables AI Mode to analyze content in Gmail and Google Photos to provide more accurate results when the user searches on Google.

“With this new experience, you can tap into your own personal context and insights to unlock even more helpful Search responses that are tailored to you,” Stein assured.

What can Personal Intelligence be used for

According to Google, Personal Intelligence can improve results when searching for activities related to your schedule if those activities are present in your emails or images.

For example, Stein explains that this new product connects the AI Agent to hotel bookings, enabling a more swift experience in which the assistant can recommend places without needing to know where the user is staying.

Another example relates to buying products. The AI Assistant can access recent purchases or photos in the gallery and analyze what the user is searching for, giving more accurate results than traditional search engines.

Google assures that the information is “securely shared between Gmail, Google Photos, and the Personal Intelligence system.”

“Built with privacy in mind, AI Mode uses our most intelligent model, Gemini 3, and doesn’t train directly on your Gmail inbox or Google Photos library. Training is limited to specific prompts in AI Mode and the model’s responses, to improve functionality over time,” Stein explained.
