Samsung unveiled a 130-inch television using Micro RGB technology on Sunday in Las Vegas, ahead of the official opening of the CES technology fair this week. The model, called R95H, is positioned by the company in an “ultra premium” category and features upgraded picture quality and a premium, art-like design. Samsung said this is the first TV in the world to combine this technology at this size.

Samsung did not disclose pricing for the R95H. The company characterizes the model as “ultra premium,” indicating it is expected to be priced accordingly.

Large 130-inch televisions dominate the living space, so Samsung styled the R95H differently from typical retail displays. The set sits on a wraparound stand that gives it the look of an art piece, described by Samsung as a “surrounding, encompassing window” that visually expands the room. To preserve the thin frame, Samsung integrated the speakers into the bezel.

Samsung says its Micro RGB system uses red, green, and blue LED elements that operate as separate units to deliver colors in the most natural and clean way. A Micro RGB AI Pro engine is designed to revive faded tones and deepen contrast for richer colors, higher sharpness, and better detail in bright and dark scenes. The company says the result is a picture that is faithful to reality.

The R95H debuts HDR 10+ Advanced, which builds on HDR10 used by various streaming services to increase contrast and widen the color gamut.

Samsung to roll out HDR10+ advanced throughout 2026 to other TV models

HDR 10+ Advanced is not limited to the Micro RGB model and will roll out to additional 2026-series televisions. Samsung said the feature will operate on Amazon Prime Video for selected titles.

The set also includes Samsung’s Glare Free technology, already used in other models. According to the company, it reduces reflections even in sunlit rooms while maintaining sharp, saturated colors for comfortable viewing.
